Wondering around Fortnum and Mason’s the other day, I was spellbound by their dazzling Christmas decorations.  Huge glittering baubles that would look at home on a 9-foot conifer in a stately home.  That kind of tree would of course demand a fantasy gift selection to make ones eyes water.
